Fair Play Statement
Last updated: July 27, 2026Our permanent commitment
BlunderLoop is a post-game training tool. It must never be used for engine assistance during a live game, and we will never build features that enable it. This is a permanent commitment, not a beta policy: no future version of BlunderLoop will offer real-time move suggestions, live-game overlays, or any workflow designed to be consulted while a rated or casual game is in progress.
What that means for you
- Analyze games after they finish. Using engine output during play violates the fair-play rules of Chess.com, Lichess, FIDE, and every serious chess community — and it robs you of the training value this tool exists to provide.
- Drills are generated from your finished games only, so practice always happens on positions whose games are already over.
- If we believe the service is being used to cheat, we may restrict access to protect the integrity of the game.
Why we care
The whole point of BlunderLoop is that you get stronger by fixing your own mistakes. A borrowed engine move wins one position; a fixed pattern wins every game after it. Play fair, lose honestly, and train the difference.
